Andrew Batinovich

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Batinovich was appointed Chief Executive Officer in August 2003 and continues to serve as President, a title he has held since 1997.  Mr. Batinovich was also a co-founder of Glenborough Realty Trust, a NYSE listed REIT, which was the predecessor to Glenborough LLC.  He joined Glenborough Corporation in 1983 and served as its Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to joining Glenborough, Mr. Batinovich was an officer of Security Pacific National Bank. Mr. Batinovich is a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE) and other trade associations.  He also serves as a trustee of the American University in Paris. Mr. Batinovich has a BA in International Business Administration from the American University of Paris.

Michael A. Steele

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Michael A. Steele is Glenborough’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, a position he has held since August 2003.  Prior to joining Glenborough as Executive Vice President, Portfolio Management in 2002, Mr. Steele spent ten years at Equity Office Properties Trust (EOP) or its affiliates.  There, he served as Executive Vice President, Real Estate Operations and Chief Operating Officer from 1998 through 2002. Before that, he was Executive Vice President, Real Estate Operations at EOP from 1996 until 1998; which followed a variety of executive positions at various EOP affiliates beginning in 1992.  Before joining EOP, Mr. Steele served as Senior Vice President and Regional Director for Rubloff, Inc., a full service real estate company in Chicago, IL.

Mr. Steele has a BS in Accounting from St. Joseph’s College and MBA in Business Administration from the University of Illinois.

Brian S. Peay

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Brian Peay serves as Glenborough’s Executive Vice President and CFO, a position he assumed in January 2006.  Prior to this, Mr. Peay served as our Senior Vice President, Joint Ventures where he developed and managed strategic relationships with the company’s joint venture partners following a successful stint as Senior Vice President, Finance and Accounting that began in 2003.  Mr. Peay joined Glenborough in November 1997 and has held the positions of Vice President, Finance and Accounting as well as Manager of Capital Markets.

Prior to joining Glenborough, Mr. Peay worked for Cliffwood Partners, L.P., a REIT hedge fund manager and for the real estate accounting firm Kenneth Leventhal and Company.  Mr. Peay earned a CPA designation and holds a BS in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Sandra L. Boyle

Executive Vice President, Project Management & Development

Sandra L. Boyle has served as Executive Vice President of Glenborough since September 1997, prior to which she served as Senior Vice President of Glenborough since it began operations on December 31, 1995.  She is currently responsible for Development and Project Management, which includes “ground-up” property development as well as major renovation, rehabilitation and repositioning of designated properties in the Company's portfolio.  Ms. Boyle has been associated with Glenborough Corporation or its affiliated entities since 1984 and has held several senior level positions in asset management, property management and leasing.

Ms. Boyle holds both a California Real Estate Broker's License and a CPM designation, is past President of BOMA San Francisco, past Chair of the National Advisory Council and Executive Committee at BOMA International.  She is an active member of the Institute of Real Estate Management, BOMA, Urban Land Institute and National Association of Industrial and Office Properties where she is currently seated on a three-year term of the Office Properties Development I Forum.

G. Lee (Chip) Burns

Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

G. Lee Burns is a Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Glenborough, LLC.  Previously, Mr. Burns was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Glenborough Realty Trust Incorporated, effective as of January 1, 2006. Mr. Burns joined Glenborough Realty Trust Incorporated in March of 1997, and previously held the position Vice President – Counsel. In addition to his duties as General Counsel, Mr. Burns provides legal and strategic advice to the company in the areas of acquisitions, dispositions and finance. Prior to joining Glenborough, Mr. Burns spent 13 years in private practice, specializing in real estate transactions. He is a member of the State Bar of California. Mr. Burns has a BA (with distinction) in Economics and a J.D., both from Stanford University.

Terri L. Garnick

Senior Vice President, Accounting

Before taking on her current position as Senior Vice President, Accounting Terri Garnick served in the same role for Glenborough Realty Trust Incorporated.  She handles all property management accounting, financial statement preparation, audits, and tax returns for the company.  Before joining Glenborough Corporation in 1989, Ms. Garnick was Controller at August Financial Corporation, a real estate investment and management company (1986 to 1989) and Senior Accountant at Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (1983-1986).

Ms. Garnick earned a CPA designation and has a BS in Accounting from San Diego State University.

Peter J. Chartz

Vice President, Dispositions & Joint Ventures

Peter Chartz joined Glenborough in February 1998 as Vice President, Dispositions.  In this capacity, he is responsible for nationwide asset sales of all property types.  Prior to joining the company, he served as Director of Acquisitions for SSR Realty Advisors (a subsidiary of Met Life) where he procured, analyzed and closed all commercial acquisitions in the Western United States.  During his eight years at SSR (and its predecessor Metric Institutional Realty Advisors), Mr. Chartz also served as Vice President, Dispositions and Manager of Investor Relations.  Prior to this, Mr. Chartz served as Vice President of Asset Management and Property Sales for Citicorp. 

Mr. Chartz holds a BS in Economics from the University of California, Davis and an MBA in Finance from Santa Clara University.

Alan Shapiro

Vice President, Acquisitions

Mr. Shapiro joined the company in January 1997 as Manager of Portfolio Acquisitions, transitioning almost immediately to Vice President of Acquisitions in November 1997, where he has served since.  His responsibilities include sourcing, analyzing and closing all Company acquisitions.  Prior to joining Glenborough, he spent 14 years as Director of Asset Management and Equity Sales with Aetna Life Insurance Company where he managed a diverse portfolio of multi-family, office, industrial and retail properties. 

Mr. Shapiro received a BS in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a member of the Urban Land Institute and National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.

Edward P. Edmiston

Vice President, Property Management - Western Region

Eddie Edmiston is Glenborough’s Regional Vice President, a position he has held since joining Glenborough in 1997.  He currently is responsible for the Western Region, encompassing Southern California, Northern California, Denver, and Las Vegas.  Mr. Edmiston joined Glenborough from Trammell Crow Company (TCC) in Los Angeles where he served as Vice President and Director of Property Management.  This followed a seven-year stint as Vice President and Director of Management Services for CB Richard Ellis in Los Angeles and 10 years in the same position for Hines Interests in Houston, Denver, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Mr. Edmiston received a BS in Hotel & Restaurant Administration from Oklahoma State University and holds a California Real Estate Broker’s license.  He also holds the CPM designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management and is past president of BOMA Oakland East Bay.

Michael Williams

Vice President, Property Management - Eastern Region

Mr. Williams has served as Regional Vice President since October 2005 and is responsible for guiding the management of the company’s properties on the east coast. Prior to joining Glenborough, Mr. Williams served as a Senior Vice President at the Penzance Companies in Washington, DC.  His commercial real estate management experience spans more than 20 years including work with the Galbreath Company and Cushman & Wakefield in the Washington, D.C. market and throughout the Mid-Atlantic area.

Mr. Williams holds a BS in Finance from Virginia Tech and is a member of BOMA and CCIM.

Carla Brewster

Director of Financial Management

As Director of Financial Management, Carla Brewster monitors the financial performance of the entire Glenborough real estate portfolio.  She also prepares property valuations, asset strategies, operating forecasts and leasing statistics.  Prior to joining Glenborough in 1990, Ms. Brewster held positions as Vice President at Windsor Financial, Portfolio Manager at August Financial Corporation and Analyst at Southmark Corporation. 

She has a BS in Accounting from the University of Wyoming.

Carlos Santamaria

Director of Engineering - Portfolio Management

Carlos Santamaria joined Glenborough as Director of Engineering in 2004.  In this position, he provides technical assistance and implements cost containment measures for all of the company’s assets.  Mr. Santamaria has worked in commercial real estate, concentrating in engineering and construction operations for over 28 years.  Prior to Glenborough, he served as Northern California Area Engineer for Equity Office Properties, Inc.  Currently, he directs Glenborough’s Green Building Program, strategically positioning the company as a leader in environmental stewardship.

Mr. Santamaria has a BA in Business from Saint Mary’s College and an MBA from the University of San Francisco.  He also holds a California General Contractor license, California Real Estate Broker’s license and an RPA Designation.
