For over 30 years, Glenborough has whole-heartedly embraced the familiar sentiment that those who prosper have an obligation to give back to their communities, particularly by supporting organizations whose goal is not only to address the immediate needs of the less fortunate, but more importantly to attack the far more challenging task of providing them with the tools to become independent and productive members of their communities.

The San Mateo Police Activities League (PAL) was developed in 1997 by a small group of police officers and members of the community. Its mission is to prevent juvenile delinquency and juvenile crime by engaging youth with police officers to help create a safer community and promote the healthy physical, social, and mental development of its youth.

Glenborough Participates in National Rebuilding Together

Glenborough participates in the National Rebuilding Together program (formerly called Christmas in April). For two consecutive weekends in April, Glenborough employees, family members and friends volunteer their time and talents to improve the home of a local Peninsula retiree.

Rebuilding Together is a special program that requires a tremendous collaborative effort on the part of the local community. Donors contribute supplies, tools and equipment; sponsors provide financial support and volunteers commit the elbow grease required to make the repairs and renovations the homes need. These projects could not happen without the involvement of each of these groups.

The importance and impact of Glenborough's contribution and participation within the community is enormous. It provides an opportunity for employees and management to work together, to give something back to our local community and helps spread the spirit of Rebuilding Together as we rebuild our neighborhoods - one home at a time.
